It was Monday morning, but the alarm clock wouldn’t be ringing today. It was a public holiday, which meant that the whole family could have a lie-in. It would turn out to be a day to remember, but of course, none of them knew that yet because it was only seven o’clock.
Despite the early hour, one pair of eyes was already looking around. Everything in this world was unknown and fascinating to them — for those eyes were used to seeing quite another world: the world of dinosaurs.
The roaming eyes belonged to dinosaur Meg. It was rather cramped for her in the kids’ room, but she wanted to be there when Alex and Tinka woke up. They were so happy whenever they opened their eyes and realised it wasn’t only a dream!
Meg attempted to stretch out, but when you’re wedged between the bed and the wardrobe, there’s not much room to do that.
“Meg?” Alex called to her. When Meg murmured a greeting, he cheerfully jumped out of bed and hugged her tightly. “What are we going to do today?” He was excited about the next adventure!
“Daddy’s coming with us this time, right?” Tinka asked from the lower bunk.
They had since introduced Meg to their mum — who had already started writing a book about it. So now it was their dad’s turn. Both siblings were curious to know if he’d also be able to see Meg. Not all people could, you know. Only those who believed in such a thing.
Alex and Tinka ate their breakfast so quickly that they didn’t have time to make the usual mess.
“Mummy, Daddy, hurry up!” they urged their parents.
“Are we starting at the playground again?” their mum asked.
